Competitions on ice sport fishing attract the most participants, the largest of them draw thousands of anglers.

In the summer are very popular trolling competitions and there are hundreds of them, but the most famous and largest of them is the 24-hour fishing marathon at the oars, "King Salmon Lake Puruvesi" in Kesyalahti. The title "King of Salmon of the Teno River" will receive the one who catches the largest salmon in the river raging in the Upper Lapland.
There are annually 50 fish trade fairs, which offers fish specialties, fresh fish, a variety of canned fish and much more in Finland. The biggest event - it's Herring Fair in Helsinki (250 km) and Turku (180 km) in the Autumn, and Fishing fair in Tampere (61 km) in spring and autumn.

Since we fish in our Finland's waters we make sure that the fish populations can withstand the fishing pressure. For example, during the spring spawning time we fish for pike using catch and release techniques only.
Both groups and private persons are welcome to join our guided fishing trips. For groups we can also offer full board and lodging in our newly renovated 19th-century estate.
We offer guided fishing tours year round with skilful guides. For larger groups we can arrange more boats and more guides. Spring, summer, autumn and winter - every season has its charm.
The Springtime's Fishing begins in early April and lasts until mid-June. This is the most beautiful time of the year - the days are long and the rays of sun are nice and hot, tanning anyone who spends time at sea. At this time it is possible to catch big, beautiful and extremely belligerent sea trout. Besides, perches of close on a kilo are not unusual! It is true that the pikes have their spawning time, but with our knowledge in catch & release we can still offer some pleasant pike fishing.
Autumn Season with perch and pike fishing begins in August and lasts until the beginning of November. The excellent fishing opportunities and mild temperatures still in October, combined with all the colours of the autumn can only be experienced on the spot!
During the Winter Season you can jig for perch or why not try traditional sub-ice herring fishing. Normally the ice builds up in mid-January and lays until the end of March. Laying nets under the ice a sunny winter day is a wonderful appreciation of nature. It is a real team-building job to lift up the tackles and shake off the herrings, it will certainly bring the group members closer together. Fresh fried herrings with mashed potatoes taste wonderful after a couple of hours spent on the ice - it makes the experience complete.
Equipment such as rods and reels as well as floatation suits, rain clothes and boots are available for rental.
During some periods in the autumn, there are thousands of seabirds making a stopover to rest in our archipelago and we at Stormskдr can arrange exciting hunts for guaranteedly wild seabirds (common goldeneye, tufted duck and merganser).
You can also join us for roe deer hunt, either from hunting tower or by dog driving.
